KHAIRPUR: A one-day training session on Literacy Books 2 and 3 was held at Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) for Focal Persons and Volunteer Literacy Teachers under the Prime Minister’s literacy initiative, “Each One Teach One.”

Dr. Ali Raza Lashari, SALU’s Focal Person for the Literacy Drive, described the session as the second phase of the capacity-building program, aimed at enhancing functional literacy, strengthening teaching skills, and supporting grassroots education.

Officials from the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD), Khairpur—including Deputy Director Mazharuddin Shaikh, Assistant Director Literacy Raza Hussain Wassan, and Field Officers Paras Gul and Sardar Ali Soomro—led the training. They provided guidance on teaching methods, curriculum delivery, learner engagement, and effective use of Literacy Books 2 and 3.

Participants engaged in interactive sessions and practical discussions to improve learning outcomes for adult and non-formal learners. The session concluded with a commitment to continued collaboration between SALU and NCHD to advance literacy initiatives in the region.
