    Orientation session for Batch 2026 held at SALU

    KHAIRPUR: The Institute of International Relations and Peace Studies, in collaboration with the departments of Political Science and Biochemistry at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, organized an orientation session for the newly admitted Batch of 2026 to formally welcome new students.

    The session was moderated by Hafsa Agha, a BS fourth-year student of the Institute of International Relations, who highlighted the importance of orientation as the first step in students’ academic, personal and professional development.

    The event was graced by the presence of the vice chancellor, Prof Dr Yousuf Khushk, Director of the Institute of International Relations and Peace Studies Prof Dr Liaquat Ali Chandio, Dr Shahida Chandio, in-charge of the Department of Political Science, and Dr Abdul Majid, chairman of the Department of Biochemistry, along with other senior faculty members.

    Faculty members briefed students on the academic structure of their programs, departmental objectives and the range of opportunities available during and after their studies. Speakers emphasized the importance of international relations, peace studies and interdisciplinary learning in understanding global politics, diplomacy and conflict resolution in an increasingly interconnected world.

    Addressing the students, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Yousuf Khushk urged them to strive for academic excellence, develop critical thinking skills and uphold the values of ethical leadership throughout their academic journey.

    The session concluded with a warm welcome to the Batch of 2026, with best wishes for a successful, productive and enriching academic experience at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur.
