KARACHI: On September 6, 2024, in honor of Defense Day, the Publican Alumni Association (PAA), in collaboration with the FGEIs Regional Directorate Karachi Region, organized a simple yet graceful ceremony. The event featured the distribution of the prestigious PAA Merit Medals—Mohammad Ali Jinnah Medal for the top boy student and Fatima Jinnah Medal for the top girl student in the Matric board examinations of 2023/2024. Additionally, four scholarships were awarded, with two going to boys and two to girls from the schools.
Rear Admiral (Retd) Tanveer Ahmed SI(M), Patron-in-Chief of the PAA and the chief guest at the ceremony, addressed the students of his alma mater, noting that this initiative is ongoing and will expand over time, with more scholarships to be offered in the future. To commemorate Defense Day, students presented national songs and an impressive tableau performance, expressing their patriotism and love for their country. As part of PAA’s tradition, former teachers and a large number of alumni were invited to the event. They praised PAA’s efforts in uniting former teachers and alumni on a shared platform.
