Unverified reports suggest over 100 militants linked to TTP, Al-Qaeda, and ISIS were killed in sweeping security raids, raising questions over intelligence accuracy and regional stability

    MM Report
ISLAMABAD: In a decisive response to ongoing cross-border terrorism, the Pakistan Air Force carried out precision airstrikes on six major terrorist infrastructure sites inside Afghanistan, striking a blow to networks responsible for attacks on innocent civilians and security forces.

Dozens of terrorists were reported killed, and key infrastructure destroyed, as operations continued into the night. The strikes targeted multiple bases in the Afghan districts of Paktika, Barmal, Nangarhar, and Khugiyan. According to various sources, these were the largest and most intensive aerial operations conducted in the region in recent years, resulting in significant casualties among the terrorists.

The unverified sources claimed that more than 100 fighters, affiliated with Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Al-Qaeda, and ISIS, were eliminated during the raids. The action was described as a necessary measure against groups that had repeatedly used Afghan soil as a launching ground for attacks within Pakistan.
The unverified sources emphasized that the operation was carefully planned, with high-precision strikes aimed at dismantling the command and control structures of terrorist groups while avoiding civilian harm. Intelligence reports indicated that the targeted camps were directly involved in planning and executing assaults on innocent civilians and also bombings, ambushes, and attacks on security personnel.

For years, TTP fighters have infiltrated Pakistan from Afghan territory, exploiting the lack of enforcement by the interim Taliban administration, whose ideological sympathies with these groups have hindered any meaningful crackdown. Islamabad has long urged Kabul to take firm action against these terrorists, warning that inaction would leave Pakistan no choice but to respond decisively to safeguard its citizens.
The strikes, conducted in coordination with the highest levels of the Pakistan Armed Forces, have been described by officials as a clear demonstration of the country’s commitment to national security. Pakistani authorities insisted that the operations were not a punitive measure against Afghanistan but a targeted effort to neutralize terror threats that jeopardize the safety of millions.

Sources through social media, the local Afghan residents in the affected districts reported significant damage to the camps and the immediate surroundings, while international observers noted the scale and precision of the operation. Pakistani officials indicated that they would continue monitoring terrorist activity across the border and undertake necessary measures to prevent future attacks.
