ISLAMABAD: In a significant advancement for national defense, the Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted a test of an indigenously developed ballistic missile, marking a milestone in the country’s military capabilities. This test, which took place recently, was confirmed by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), highlighting the strategic importance of this achievement in enhancing Pakistan’s maritime defense.
The ballistic missile boasts a range of 350 kilometers, allowing it to effectively engage both land and sea targets with remarkable precision. This capability is critical in ensuring the security of Pakistan’s coastal and maritime interests, especially amid ongoing regional tensions. The missile system incorporates a sophisticated navigation framework, enabling it to alter its direction and speed during flight, thereby increasing its effectiveness in dynamic combat scenarios.
The successful launch was overseen by Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with senior naval officers, scientists, and engineers who played pivotal roles in the missile’s development and testing. Their participation underscores the collaborative effort within Pakistan’s military and scientific communities to bolster national defense through indigenous innovation.
In recognition of this achievement, President of Pakistan, Prime Minister, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and Services Chiefs extended their congratulations to all involved in the missile test. This high-level acknowledgment reflects the importance placed on enhancing defense capabilities and ensuring the country’s readiness to address potential threats.
The successful test not only serves as a testament to Pakistan’s growing defense technology but also sends a message of deterrence to adversaries in the region. It reinforces Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining a credible defense posture while pursuing self-reliance in defense production. As global dynamics evolve, such advancements will be crucial for safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
