ISLAMABAD: In a significant diplomatic engagement, a representative delegation from the Pakistani community in Muscat, Oman, met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, in Islamabad. The delegation, led by senior MQM Pakistan leader and National Assembly member Dr. Muhammad Farooq Sattar, comprised prominent figures from various sectors, including Umar Riaz, Syed Haris, Chaudhry Aslam, Imran Siddiqui, Sikandar Bukhari, and Ahmed Subhani.
During the meeting, the discussions centered around enhancing bilateral relations between Pakistan and Oman, with a particular focus on boosting business and trade activities, fostering industrial cooperation, and addressing the challenges faced by overseas Pakistanis. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed his commitment to supporting the Pakistani community abroad, assuring the delegation that the government would actively work to resolve the issues confronting overseas Pakistanis.
Dar also commended Dr. Farooq Sattar for his dedication and efforts on behalf of the overseas community, recognizing the importance of their contributions to Pakistan’s economy and development. This meeting not only reflects the Pakistani government’s recognition of its diaspora’s role but also emphasizes the ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with Oman, aiming for a more collaborative future that benefits both nations and their citizens.
