ISLAMABAD: Pakistan sent a special plane carrying 100 tons of tents for the relief of Palestinian people on Thursday, as part of its ongoing humanitarian assistance to Gaza. The aircraft, which departed from Lahore airport, marked another step in the country’s efforts to support civilians affected by the ongoing conflict in the region.

Speaking to reporters at the airport, Provincial Minister for Housing Bilal Yaseen said Pakistan had already dispatched a total of twenty-eight relief consignments to Gaza, amounting to 2,627 tons of essential supplies. He emphasized that the aid included tents, food, and medical equipment, aimed at alleviating the immediate hardships faced by displaced families and communities affected by the conflict.

“Our commitment to the Palestinian people remains steadfast,” Yaseen said, underlining the importance of swift humanitarian action in the face of growing needs on the ground. The minister highlighted the logistical challenges involved in coordinating such large-scale shipments, noting that each consignment required careful planning to ensure timely delivery.

Airport officials and aid workers were seen supervising the loading process, ensuring that the cargo, including hundreds of tents, was secured for transport. Analysts and humanitarian observers have praised Pakistan’s consistent support, describing it as a significant gesture of solidarity amid an escalating crisis.

For many families in Gaza, the arrival of these supplies offers a lifeline, providing shelter and essential relief in the aftermath of destruction and displacement. The latest shipment reflects Pakistan’s continued focus on international humanitarian responsibilities, signaling both compassion and practical engagement in support of civilians caught in conflict zones.

As the aid reached its destination, authorities expressed hope that such efforts would offer immediate relief and contribute to longer-term rehabilitation for affected communities.
