KABUL: Pakistan forces carried out successful airstrikes in Kabul and Nangarhar under Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, targeting Taliban military installations and logistics infrastructure, according to security sources. The strikes were conducted during the night of March 16 as part of the ongoing operation.
Security officials said the Pakistan Armed Forces destroyed technical support infrastructure and ammunition storage facilities at two locations in Kabul. Video footage released after the strikes showed large explosions and rising flames, suggesting that a significant stockpile of ammunition had been hit.
Sources added that four Taliban military sites in Nangarhar were also targeted during the operation. Airstrikes there reportedly destroyed logistics infrastructure linked to the installations as well as ammunition depots and technical facilities used by militants.
Security officials rejected claims by Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid that a drug hospital had been targeted, calling the allegation baseless. They said the strikes were carefully aimed at military facilities.
Authorities said operations under Operation Ghazab Lil Haq would continue until all designated objectives are achieved.
