TEHRAN: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran Mudassir Tipu has reaffirmed that trade activities between the two neighbouring countries remain uninterrupted, with border crossings operating normally amid ongoing regional developments. In a statement issued from Tehran, the ambassador expressed gratitude to the Iranian government for facilitating trade and transit commerce during challenging circumstances.
“I am thankful to the Iranian government for providing complete facilitation to Pakistan for trade and transit trade,” Tipu said, emphasizing that Tehran has ensured smooth commercial exchanges despite the difficult situation. The ambassador confirmed that land borders between Pakistan and Iran are functioning routinely, with trade activities proceeding as usual at all crossing points.
According to the ambassador, green channels at border terminals remain active, enabling swift transportation of goods in both directions. He highlighted that Pakistan is reciprocating by extending full cooperation to Tehran to ensure that commerce remains unaffected by the current regional climate. “Trade flow and related matters are being resolved through mutual efforts,” Tipu stated, adding that the Pakistani embassy remains in continuous contact with both government and private stakeholders in Iran and Pakistan to address any emerging issues.
The diplomatic assurance comes at a time of heightened regional tensions, with both countries demonstrating commitment to maintaining economic linkages and border coordination despite broader security challenges in the Middle East.
