ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has confirmed that Pakistan’s armed forces conducted successful airstrikes under Operation Ghazab-e-Lilhq on the night of March 16, targeting military installations in Kabul and Nangarhar that were involved in sponsoring terrorism. Addressing a news conference, Tarar stated that two locations in Kabul serving as technical support structures and weapons storage facilities were destroyed, with subsequent explosions clearly indicating the presence of large ammunition depots at the targeted sites.
The minister further revealed that Pakistan’s military also struck four military installations in Nangarhar province that were patronizing terrorism, destroying their associated logistics, weaponry, and technical infrastructure. He emphasized that these installations were being used to facilitate various terrorist groups operating against Pakistan’s security.
“The false claims of the Taliban government cannot deceive the Pakistani people or the international community,” Tarar asserted, dismissing denials from Afghan authorities regarding the presence of militant infrastructure on their soil. He reiterated that operations under Operation Ghazab-e-Lilhq will continue until their objectives are fully achieved, signaling that Pakistan reserves the right to take further action against elements threatening its national security from Afghan territory.
