JINHUA, ZHEJIAN: A delegation of Pakistani media representatives, visiting Jinhua city of Zhejian province, has lauded China’s “remarkable progress and wisdom” during a special training program, vowing to use the skills learned to bolster the deep-rooted partnership between the two nations.
A note of thanks was delivered by Ehtasham Anwar from Daily Metro Morning at Zhejiang Normal University, framed the media exchange as a vital conduit for strengthening the China-Pakistan relationship, which was described as a “bond of hearts” and a partnership “rooted in trust, respect, and a shared vision.”
Ehtasham, on behalf of entire delegation, expressed “deep gratitude and admiration” for the host nation. “It is truly an honor to be here in the People’s Republic of China — a nation that continues to inspire the world through its remarkable progress, wisdom, and commitment to shared development,” the address stated.
The media training program, organised by the Chinese government and hosted by the Zhejian Normal University, was characterized as a “meaningful” opportunity for professional development and cultural exchange. The delegation suggested that the course would equip them to navigate the “evolving landscape of modern journalism,” with a focus on the “responsible use of digital media” and “truthful storytelling in building bridges between nations.”
Ehtasham Anwar also gave acknowledgment to the Chinese Consul General in Karachi Yang Yundong and his team, whose “tireless efforts” were cited as the backbone of the initiative. The speech positioned the media professionals as key actors in the bilateral relationship, assigning them the responsibility to “project this friendship in its true spirit.” The delegation representative pledged to return to Pakistan “enriched with knowledge, new friendships, and a renewed sense of purpose to serve our people with integrity and balance.”
The closing remarks reinforced the foundational rhetoric of the China-Pakistan alliance, thanking the hosts for their “friendship, your hospitality, and your faith in the power of knowledge,” before concluding with the traditional cheer: “Long live Pakistan-China friendship!”
The event highlights the continued emphasis on people-to-people and institutional exchanges within the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the broader Belt and Road Initiative, extending beyond infrastructure into the realms of media and soft power.
