    MM Report

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani fighter jets were seen patrolling the skies over Kandahar after carrying out aerial strikes, according to security sources. The development signalled a sharp escalation in cross-border military activity, though officials stopped short of providing operational details.

Security sources said the aircraft continued to circle the area following the strikes, describing the move as part of a broader security response. No immediate information was released regarding the targets, casualties or the precise objectives of the operation. Afghan authorities had not publicly commented at the time of reporting.

The sources added that the armed forces of Pakistan were fully prepared to respond to any act of aggression and possessed the capability to deliver a robust reply. The statement appeared aimed at underscoring military readiness amid heightened regional tensions.

The situation remains fluid, with observers warning that any sustained aerial activity over Kandahar could further strain already fragile relations in the border region.
