SUKKUR: Pir Sahab Pagara Syed Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi, the spiritual leader of the Hur Jamaat, arrived in Khanpur, Ghotki district, on Tuesday, where thousands of followers welcomed him with chants and expressions of devotion.
During a reception hosted near Khanpur Mehar, Pir Pagara met followers as part of his spiritual visit and addressed the gathering on social, religious and economic issues. He emphasised the importance of educating girls and providing better training for children, calling education the foundation of a strong community.
He urged prayers for the Pakistan Army, saying the fight against terrorism was being carried out by the armed forces rather than political rulers. Touching on economic challenges, Pir Pagara said agriculture had been struggling for the past five to six years and farmers were not receiving fair prices for their produce. He encouraged greater focus on livestock farming, describing it as a source of both livelihood and spiritual reward.
