ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister approved the reduction in the prices of petroleum products has been approved. The price of petrol has been reduced by 10 rupees per liter, the price of diesel has been reduced by 13 rupees 6 paise per liter. While kerosene has been made cheaper by 11 rupees 15 paise per liter.
The price of light diesel oil has been reduced by 12 rupees 12 paise. The new prices of petroleum products will be implemented from 12 pm today. It should be remembered that the OGRA has calculated according to the decrease in the international prices of crude oil from 8 to 12 rupees from September 1 to 14, and in consultation with the Ministry of Petroleum, the Federal Ministry of Finance has given 6 to 10 rupees in proportion to the decrease in international prices.
A summary of the shortfall was sent. Since the Federal Ministry of Finance has to finalize the staff-level understanding with the Executive Board meeting of the IMF on September 25, the conditions of the IMF on the Shehbaz Sharif government are tough, but on Sunday. The price of crude oil in the international market was 90 dollars per barrel in April 2024, which has now decreased to more or less 70 dollars per barrel in September, which is the lowest price in the last 6 months.
