ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a polio vaccination team in Bajaur, which resulted in the death of a police officer assigned to protect the team and injuries to a civilian.
The Prime Minister expressed deep sorrow over the officer’s martyrdom, offering prayers for his soul and extending condolences to his family, while also praying for the swift recovery of the injured. He directed authorities to identify the perpetrators quickly and ensure they face the full force of the law.
Describing the assault as “extremely regrettable,” the Prime Minister reaffirmed his commitment to the nationwide polio eradication campaign, stating that the government will continue its efforts with full determination until the disease is eliminated from Pakistan.
