ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has hailed Pakistan’s recent military achievements as the most significant in the nation’s history, declaring that the balance of power in the region has been fundamentally altered. Speaking at Kamra Airbase, he delivered a stern warning to adversaries, asserting that any future hostile moves against Pakistan will be decisively crushed.
Addressing the Pakistan Air Force pilots, Shahbaz Sharif praised their exceptional skill and bravery, crediting them with shattering the enemy’s pride during the critical days between 6 and 10 May. He noted how the world watched in admiration as Pakistan’s air force demonstrated remarkable expertise, reshaping global perceptions of the conflict.
The prime minister emphasized that on 10 May, international observers unanimously recognized Pakistan’s technical mastery and success in the conflict. He criticized India’s heavy military expenditures aimed at regional dominance but insisted that Pakistan’s forces dismantled those ambitions. “India will never again indulge in such arrogance and pride,” he said emphatically.
Shahbaz Sharif highlighted that Pakistan’s national flag now commands respect worldwide. He refuted Indian claims, insisting that Pakistan successfully downed six enemy aircraft, including three Rafale jets, thereby underscoring the skill and effectiveness of Pakistan’s pilots.
Throughout his remarks, the prime minister underscored Pakistan’s measured restraint despite provocation, pointing out that the country’s responses were precise and targeted, even as Indian attacks resulted in the deaths of innocent children. He asserted that Pakistan focused its counterstrikes on dismantling India’s military infrastructure and strategic capabilities.
During his visit to Kamra Airbase, Shahbaz Sharif met with the pilots who played a pivotal role in breaking India’s air superiority, calling their efforts a “battle for justice.” He was accompanied by senior military and political leaders, including Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal and Attaullah Tarar.
The prime minister had also recently toured Pasrur Cantonment in Sialkot, meeting with officers and soldiers involved in Operation Bunyan Marsos, Pakistan’s military response to Indian aggression. These visits and declarations underscore Pakistan’s resolve to defend its sovereignty and deliver a firm message that any future threats will be met with uncompromising force.
