ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a warm and cordial telephone conversation on Friday with the President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in a discussion that underscored the enduring and multifaceted ties between the two nations.
According to officials, the leaders fondly recalled the UAE President’s first official visit to Pakistan last month, which included engagements in Islamabad and Rahim Yar Khan, and praised the tangible progress achieved in strengthening bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
During the call, Sharif highlighted the UAE’s consistent support, describing the assistance extended to Pakistan in recent years as a clear reflection of the historic and fraternal bonds that exist between the leadership and peoples of both countries.
“The UAE’s role has been instrumental in helping Pakistan navigate challenging times,” he remarked, noting that the partnership extended far beyond diplomacy, touching areas of economic development, investment, and strategic collaboration.
