ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited the newly established “Cascade” Police Service Centre in Islamabad’s diplomatic enclave on Saturday, a facility designed to provide enhanced services to the diplomatic community and foreign nationals residing in Pakistan. The Cascade Centre, which meets international standards, aims to streamline the process of accessing essential police services, ensuring convenience and efficiency for diplomats and foreign residents.
During his visit, the Prime Minister emphasized that facilitating the diplomatic community was a priority for the government, highlighting the Centre as a significant step forward in this regard. The Cascade Police Service Centre offers a wide range of services, including the issuance and renewal of driving licenses, character certificates, police verifications, lost item reports, and registration for tenants, foreign nationals, domestic workers, volunteers, and vehicles.
It also provides access to copies of FIRs and other necessary police documentation, making it a comprehensive resource for foreign nationals. The Prime Minister was briefed by the Inspector General of Islamabad Police on the Centre’s operations and its focus on meeting the unique needs of the diplomatic community. Alongside the Prime Minister were Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, both of whom were involved in the initiative.
