SUKKUR: A senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) in Sindh has urged party chief Nawaz Sharif to undertake a detailed visit across the province to help revive the party and mobilise its workers.
Former vice-president of PML-N Sindh, Muhammad Yamin Qureshi, made the appeal while addressing party workers at an iftar gathering held at his residence.
Qureshi said the party needed to be reactivated in Sindh and that a province-wide visit by Nawaz Sharif would energise workers and strengthen the organisation ahead of future elections.
He added that development initiatives in the province also required greater attention from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The PML-N leader called for making the Muslim League House Karachi more active and stressed the need to reorganise the party structure in Sindh.
Qureshi also suggested that Nehal Hashmi should continue to fulfil his constitutional responsibilities while also encouraging party workers in the province.
He expressed hope that the party leadership would focus more on Sindh’s political landscape and work to build PML-N into a stronger force in the province before the next general elections.
