KARACHI: Karachi police have arrested a key suspect in a 22-year-old double murder case, authorities said, marking the resolution of a long-standing investigation.

The suspect, identified as Imran Nagori, also known as Iqbal, had been named in a 2003 case after allegedly killing a father and son over a personal dispute. Police said both victims, Suhail and Muhammad Ismail, were shot in the head and face. Five individuals had originally been named in the murder case filed at the Baldia police station, but Nagori had remained a fugitive for decades.

According to officials, the arrest was made using technical tracking devices, highlighting the careful planning and surveillance involved in capturing the suspect. Karachi’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Kemari confirmed that Nagori was “extremely cunning” and had frequently used false identities to evade law enforcement.

Police added that further questioning of Nagori is underway, and additional legal proceedings will follow to ensure accountability. Authorities said the arrest demonstrates ongoing commitment to bringing long-evading suspects to justice.
