SUKKUR: Twelve of the most-wanted criminals surrendered to police in Kashmore-Kandhkot on Monday, while two others were injured during a police encounter, marking a significant success for law enforcement in the district.
The surrender came following a series of intelligence-based operations conducted by District Kashmore Police, Sindh Rangers, and federal intelligence agencies across multiple areas, including Durrani Mahar. The sustained operational pressure, coordinated under the leadership of DIGP Larkana Nasir Aftab Pathan, led the twelve robbers to present themselves to SSP Kashmore-Kandhkot Muhammad Murad Ghanghro.
The criminals who surrendered had been involved in serious offences including kidnapping for ransom, extortion, robbery, attempted murder, attacks on police personnel, and other major crimes. Their names include Asif Bhayo, Ghous Bakhsh Bhayo, Yaqub Bhayo, Wasim Bhayo, Yar Muhammad Bhayo, Irshad Bhayo, Ashiq alias Mashooq Bhayo, Imtiaz Ali Bhayo, Muhammad Ali Bhayo, Zafar Ali Bhayo, Manzoor Bhayo, and Abdul Salam Bhayo.
During a separate patrol near Haibat Road in the limits of Police Station A Section Kandhkot, SHO Khalil Leghari and his team engaged two criminals who were preparing to commit a crime. An exchange of fire left the suspects, identified as Ghulam Rasool, son of Hairuddin Sabzoi, and Khawand Bakhsh, son of Muhammad Usman Goll, injured.
SSP Kashmore-Kandhkot confirmed that the injured suspects had been involved in robbery, street crime, motorcycle theft, mobile phone snatching, and other incidents targeting Hindu traders in Kandhkot city. Law enforcement authorities said that the combined operations and the surrenders reflect the continued determination to restore peace and security in the district.
