SUJAWAL: The National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) has confirmed a case of polio in a four-year-old child in the Bello Union Council of SUJAWAL district, marking the first reported polio case in the district this year.
According to NEOC, during the nationwide polio vaccination campaign this year, over 45 million children across Pakistan were administered the polio vaccine.
The NEOC further stated that a nationwide polio immunization campaign is scheduled to begin in April to prevent further spread of the virus and ensure child safety.
