LAHORE: Polling for the Supreme Court Bar Association elections is currently in progress, starting from 9 AM and concluding at 5 PM. A total of 4,021 lawyers are casting their votes to elect a new president, secretary, and other officials.
The election features a contest between the Asma Jahangir Group and the Hamid Khan Group. Miaan Rauf Ata is the presidential candidate from the Asma Jahangir Group, while Malek Zahid and Tanveer Akhtar are contesting for the positions of secretary and finance secretary, respectively. The Hamid Khan Group’s presidential candidate is Munir Kakar, with Salman Siddiqui and Mir Aurangzeb vying for the roles of secretary and finance secretary.
