In the season of political skirmishes, Dr. Asim Hussain, accompanied by Governor Sindh Mohammad Kamran Khan Tessori, has held a meeting at the Governor’s House, aiming to lower the temperature between the MQM and PPP, as perceived by political circles. Dr. Asim Hussain, former Federal Minister for Petroleum and a senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), suddenly arrived at the Governor’s House Karachi, where he had an extended meeting with Governor Sindh, which lasted for more than half an hour. The purpose of this meeting is to improve relations between the PPP and the Governor of Sindh.

This meeting comes at a time when just recently, MQM Pakistan’s newly inducted PPP member Raza Haroon had criticized the Governor of Sindh. Following this meeting with Governor Sindh, Dr. Asim Hussain, within a few hours, issued a statement in which he alleged that Kamran Khan Tessori had proven to be one of the most unsuccessful governors in Sindh’s history. Not only that, but MQM-P has also failed in their defense. Raza Haroon’s claim was that MQM-P leader Waseem Akhtar’s statements against the Governor of Sindh were welcomed by the MQM-P because MQM-P leaders are internally dissatisfied, and they want Kamran Tessori replaced. Dr. Asim Hussain’s meeting with the Governor comes just a day after the General Secretary of PPP Sindh, Waqar Mehdi, directed harsh words towards the Governor of Sindh.

Waqar Mehdi had stated that Kamran Tessori has proved to be the most unsuccessful Governor of Sindh. Consensus is needed for the appointment of the Federal Governor, but unfortunately, Kamran Tessori could not fulfill his responsibilities, and disputes are escalating. Waqar Mehdi emphasized that until the PTI government does not appoint a new governor in Sindh, Kamran Tessori should be removed from office, and the Speaker of the Sindh Assembly should be appointed to fill his position constitutionally. After the series of harsh statements from Waqar Mehdi and Raza Haroon, Dr. Asim Hussain arrived at the Governor House. He congratulated Kamran Khan Tessori on the occasion of Eid and conveyed an important political message to Governor Sindh, according to sources. It should be noted that Dr. Asim Hussain is a trusted companion of President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari.

On this occasion, Governor Sindh said that there are no differences with the Pakistan Peoples Party; he wants peace and prosperity in Sindh. He emphasized that until there is peace in Karachi, investment will not come. The security of Karachi should be the top priority of the ISI. Governor Sindh, Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori, while addressing the recent meetings with diplomats, said that if the diplomats are satisfied with the security, the Gulf countries will invest in Sindh, which will benefit every individual of the province. After the meeting, Dr. Asim Hussain visited the Governor’s House and held a session at the IBA University, where 50,000 students are educated in Information Technology, and around 400,000 students are enrolled in online courses. According to sources, Dr. Asim Hussain appreciated Governor Tessori’s initiatives. Governor Sindh Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori said that the promise to establish an IBA University was made by someone else, but they are grateful to Allah that they got the opportunity to implement it practically.
