KARACHI: The Progressive Group is set to secure victory in the upcoming Karachi Club elections on 25 December, local business leaders claimed on Monday, pledging to rid the institution of corruption.
Speaking to the media at a dinner hosted in honor of all Progressive Group candidates, ACM Group of Companies chairmen Farhan Pardesi and Irfan Pardesi expressed confidence in the group’s success. “The members have already rejected the group that has long dominated the club’s governance. Now, only Progressive Group will lead,” Farhan Pardesi said.
Presidential candidate Mohammad Aslam Rangoonwala and secretary candidate Abdul Waheed Qadir Jital Sarwala reiterated their commitment to transparency, promising strict accountability for any mismanagement of club funds. They emphasized that the club’s members support the Progressive Group’s agenda to restore integrity.
The dinner was attended by all Progressive Group candidates, including Mohammad Aslam Rangoonwala, Abdul Waheed Qadir Jital Sarwala, Abdul Salam Surmawala, Adnan Skrani, Adnan Ghori, Ahmed Chekotra, Junaid Yousuf Hamdani, Khalid Jan M Khudiya, M Zubair Nagar, Mohammad Kashif, Mustafa Abdul Aziz, Safat Ali Agha, Vishan Gir, Zeeshan Akbar Ali Merchant, and actor Sajid Hasan, along with numerous business personalities.
