KHYBER: Demonstrations were held in the Khyber districts of Landi Kotal and Badr under the banner of Jamaat-e-Islami to protest against Israeli attacks and the assault on the Global Sumud Flotilla. The gatherings drew large numbers of both party activists and local residents.

Protesters voiced strong opposition to the detention of former senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan and other flotilla participants, holding banners and placards expressing solidarity with Palestine and denouncing Israel and the United States. Chants of “Down with Israel” and “Down with America” echoed through the streets.

Speakers, including Murad Hussain Afridi, Shah Faisal Afridi, Khan Wali Afridi, Qari Wajid, and Engineer Banaras, described the Israeli attack on the flotilla as blatant aggression and a serious violation of human rights. They expressed deep concern over the continued imprisonment of Mushtaq Ahmed Khan and other Pakistani participants.

The speakers called on the Pakistani government to play an active diplomatic role at the international level to secure the immediate and safe release of all detained Pakistanis. They reaffirmed the nation’s solidarity with the Palestinian people and Hamas, pledging to continue the struggle for Palestinian freedom until their objectives are achieved.

Addressing the threat to global peace, the speakers warned that if powerful nations fail to restrain Israel, the security of the Middle East and beyond could be at risk. They stressed that the sacrifices of the Palestinian people would not be in vain and expressed confidence that the struggle for liberation would ultimately succeed.
