LONDON: A high-profile roadshow for the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL) took place at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground, drawing attention from cricket enthusiasts, investors, and sports industry stakeholders.

The event, designed to showcase the league’s growth and investment potential, was attended by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, legendary cricketers Wasim Akram and Ramiz Raja, and current star batsman Babar Azam, who together lent both gravitas and celebrity appeal to the occasion.

Sources said the roadshow highlighted the planned addition of two new PSL teams and outlined details regarding their acquisition, signaling a significant expansion of the league. Organizers also revealed that the PSL would soon be listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), creating a formal avenue for public investment and offering a platform for both domestic and international stakeholders to participate in the league’s commercial growth.

Several attendees reportedly expressed interest in acquiring teams, reflecting strong investor confidence in the league’s brand and its potential for revenue generation. In a further indication of the PSL’s evolving footprint, organizers announced plans to host matches at the Muzaffarabad Stadium, extending the league beyond its traditional venues and reaching new fan bases.

The decision, sources suggested, is aimed at promoting cricket in less conventional regions, while also capitalizing on the growing enthusiasm for domestic T20 competitions across Pakistan. Observers noted that the London roadshow served not only as a marketing and investment platform but also as a demonstration of the PSL’s ambition to integrate professional sport with financial innovation.
