Sources disclosed that the committee has crafted a comprehensive plan to mobilize party workers and supporters nationwide for the rally at Sangjani in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has solidified its strategy for the forthcoming rally scheduled for September 8, following a core committee meeting held under the chairmanship of Barrister Gohar on Friday. During the session, which was reported by the media, the committee reviewed the current political landscape, including the recent verdict on the NAB amendments.
The implications of this ruling on the Toshakhana reference involving PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, were discussed, with potential petitions against the verdict being considered. Sources disclosed that the committee has crafted a comprehensive plan to mobilize party workers and supporters nationwide for the rally at Sangjani in Islamabad. Members of the national and provincial assemblies have been assigned the task of bringing their constituents to the event.
Additionally, the committee addressed its opposition to any bills or legislative actions affecting the judiciary. The discussion also touched on the potential resolution of cases against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in light of the NAB amendments. The PTI core committee condemned the recent police raid on a party candidate’s meeting and reiterated its determination to proceed with the rally at Sangjani on September 8.
The Islamabad district administration has granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the rally, subject to 42 conditions. This approval permits the event to take place at Paswal Road, Sangjani, with designated routes for participants arriving from different regions. Supporters from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to enter Islamabad via the M-1 motorway, while those from Punjab will use GT Road and Chakri Interchange.
Imran Khan has urged the nation to overcome any obstacles and attend the rally, asserting, “Now, there will be a gathering in Islamabad on September 8. I am asking the entire nation to come out on September 8. Do not tolerate any obstruction on that day.”
