LAHORE: The Punjab government, acting on directives from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has allocated Rs500,000 in aid to Florian Berg, a German tourist who was recently robbed in Lahore. Punjab Home Secretary Noorul Amin Mengal personally met with Berg to convey his condolences and reassure him of the government’s commitment to addressing the incident. Mengal emphasized that the Punjab administration is dedicated to protecting visitors and ensuring their well-being. “We are taking measures to ensure their security and safety,” Mengal remarked, underscoring that all tourists are treated with high regard and care.

Florian Berg, who was camping on a street in Lahore when the robbery occurred, expressed profound gratitude for the support he received.
