JEDDAH: Rana Manan Khan, Chairman of the Chief Minister’s Task Force in Punjab and Minister for Prisons, Government of Punjab, said a strong Pakistan Army is essential for a strong Pakistan, and that a new era of development is unfolding across Punjab. He made the remarks while addressing a dinner organized in his honor by Chaudhry Munir in Jeddah.
Speaking at the event, Khan highlighted the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) focus on public service. “A strong army is the guarantee of a strong Pakistan,” he said. He also noted that every sector in Punjab is currently witnessing significant progress.
Other speakers at the dinner praised the provincial government’s efforts. Malik Manzoor Hussain Awan, Focal Person for the Prime Minister’s Youth Program and General Secretary of PML-N Saudi Arabia, said the government is actively developing Punjab, with results visible to residents across the province.
Awan highlighted the provincial administration’s achievements in urban cleanliness, noting that a city in the UK had sought guidance from Punjab authorities, inspired by their successful programs. “This is a matter of honor for us,” he said.
He contrasted the government’s approach with that of political opponents, accusing them of promoting “hatred, malice, enmity and killing.” He added that the public has rejected such politics, and that development and performance should now take center stage.
Awan also reiterated the importance of the army, saying its achievements have strengthened the country’s defence, honor, and dignity. “We are proud of our forces,” he concluded. The dinner brought together PML-N officials and supporters in Jeddah, who celebrated the party’s ongoing work and reaffirmed their commitment to public service and national development.
