DADU: National Awami Tehreek (NAT) chief Ayaz Latif Palijo addressed a large gathering at the ‘Mohabbat-e-Sindh’ public rally in Radhan, Dadu, after leading a rally from Mehr to Radhan.
In his speech, Palijo criticized the provincial leadership, accusing former President Asif Ali Zardari of acquiring power by exploiting Sindh’s wealth and turning the province into a hub of feudalism, crime, and entrenched landlord influence. He condemned the deterioration of agriculture, education, health, and the economy under current governance.
Palijo highlighted pressing issues including water shortages, land and resource disputes, canal projects, corporate farming, and inequitable distribution of Sindh’s rivers and delta resources. He stated that Kotri Downstream was being deprived of water, adversely affecting Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, and the delta region. He rejected new canal schemes and corporate farming initiatives under the pretext of ‘Green Pakistan’ that threaten Sindh’s lands and water.
