HANGU: Friends of Paraplegics, in collaboration with Zakat Foundation of America, distributed Ramazan ration packages among 100 persons with disabilities in Karak district and Domel tehsil of Bannu as part of a welfare initiative during the holy month.The ration distribution was supervised by Friends of Paraplegics Chairman Sanaullah.
In Karak, the distribution was carried out by the organization’s district coordinator Muhammad Ali, while in Domel, Bannu, the activity was managed by the organization’s General Secretary Engineer Irfanullah.Local elders appreciated the efforts of the organizations for supporting people affected by poverty and disability and thanked the organizers for extending assistance during Ramazan.
Organizers said helping deserving and disabled individuals during the holy month is an important social and humanitarian responsibility, which was made possible with the support of Zakat Foundation of America. They also appealed to philanthropists and social workers to actively participate in the welfare mission so that assistance and facilities could reach more deserving persons with disabilities.
