ZIARAT: A roadside explosion in the picturesque Mangi area of Ziarat, located near Quetta, has tragically resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left three others injured, according to officials from the Levies. The victims have been swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, where medical teams are attending to their injuries. Local authorities have launched an investigation into the cause and perpetrators of the attack.
This explosion comes just days after a deadly suicide bombing at Quetta’s railway station, which claimed the lives of 28 people and left 40 others wounded. Both attacks underscore the persistent security challenges plaguing the region, where militant groups continue to pose a significant threat to peace and stability. The Mangi explosion, occurring in a relatively tranquil part of Balochistan, has sent shockwaves through the local community, already reeling from the devastating effects of the earlier railway station bombing.
Authorities are yet to determine whether there is a connection between the two incidents, but the timing suggests that the region remains under a heightened state of threat from militant factions targeting civilian and military assets. As investigations unfold, security forces are intensifying their presence in the region, hoping to stem the tide of violence and bring those responsible for the attacks to justice. The government and military authorities are expected to increase their focus on tackling insurgency and terrorism in Balochistan, a province that has long faced security challenges linked to both domestic and cross-border militant activities.
