PESHAWAR: Armed robbers looted Rs135 million in cash and 441 tola of gold during a bank robbery on Kohat Road in Peshawar, officials said. A case has been registered in connection with the incident.
Investigators said the suspects broke through a wall to gain entry and even brought a gas cylinder with them. Once inside, they disabled all CCTV cameras and triggered multiple emergency alarms, which rang several times.
Authorities also noted serious security lapses, saying the bank had not deployed security guards and the alarm company failed to inform the operations manager in time.
