KARACHI: Sindh’s police chief praised investigators after officers arrested suspects involved in a high-value burglary and recovered more than Rs300 million in stolen cash in a swift operation in Karachi.

Inspector General Javed Alam Odho met the DIG West, SSP West, and members of the investigation team at the Central Police Office, commending their work and awarding cash prizes and certificates to officers and personnel.
According to police, the suspects had carried out the crime with careful planning “in a cinematic manner,” targeting money held in trust by citizens. Timely arrests and the recovery of the looted amount, officials said, had strengthened public confidence in law enforcement.
Odho said effective investigation, the use of modern techniques, and coordinated intelligence were key to solving the case quickly. He directed officers to intensify intelligence-based operations and snap checks to curb street crime and burglaries.
He also called for stronger monitoring and community policing across all zones. The DIG West thanked traders, citizens, and the media for recognizing the force’s efforts, describing the operation as a major success for Sindh Police in Karachi.
