SUKKUR: In a harrowing development, kidnappers have demanded a ransom of 50 million rupees for the release of three employees from a ghee company based in Sukkur. The abducted individuals are Nadir Jamali from Bachal Shah Miani, Sukkur, and Rashid and Waheed Malik from Khairpur. The kidnappers, identified as a gang of dacoits, have intensified the crisis by posting a threatening video on social media.
The video, which surfaced on Sunday, shows the hostages in a distressing state, underscoring the gravity of their situation. The kidnappers have issued a stark warning, stating that they will kill the hostages if their demands are not met, adding to the mounting fears for the victims’ safety. SSP Sukkur Amjad Shaikh confirmed the incident, explaining that the kidnappers employed a deceitful tactic to lure the victims to Kashmore. This ploy, described as a “honey trap,” involved deceiving the victims into believing they were being invited for legitimate reasons, only to be kidnapped upon arrival.
The police have mobilized a coordinated response involving forces from both Kashmore and Sukkur. A multi-pronged strategy is being implemented, including negotiations with the kidnappers, intensive search operations, and efforts to trace the location of the hostages. Authorities are working around the clock to secure the safe release of Nadir Jamali, Rashid Malik, and Waheed Malik.
