MOSCOW: In a dramatic turn of events, a Russian man threw a Porsche SUV into a dumpster after his estranged wife refused to accept it as a Valentine’s Day gift.
According to foreign media reports, the incident took place in Mytishchi, a district in the Russian capital, Moscow. The man had hoped to mend his strained marriage by surprising his wife with a luxury car, but the gesture did not go as planned.
The woman, who had been upset for some time, saw the extravagant gift as an insult and refused to accept it. In response, the husband decided to discard the car, an act that quickly caught the attention of locals.
Russian media reports suggest that the couple had been facing relationship troubles for a while. In an effort to win back his wife, the man purchased a used luxury SUV for three million rubles (approximately 3.98 million Pakistani rupees). The vehicle had previously been damaged in an accident but was restored before being presented as a gift.
Originally, the husband planned to give her the car on March 8, International Women’s Day. However, since the repairs were completed earlier than expected, he chose to surprise her on Valentine’s Day instead. The wife, upon learning of the gift, refused to accept it, feeling insulted by the gesture. Frustrated by her rejection, the man decided to discard the car in a trash heap, creating a bizarre spectacle that quickly spread across social media.
