KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Local Government Saeed Ghani has underscored the critical need to expedite ongoing public interest projects managed by the Malir Development Authority (MDA). Speaking at a high-level meeting at his office on Monday, Ghani reiterated the commitment of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government in Sindh to its manifesto, which prioritizes providing citizens with their own homes.

The meeting, presided over by Saeed Ghani, included key MDA officials such as Director General Najmuddin Sahto, Project Director Muhammad Laiq Ahmed, Superintendent Engineer Shiraz Mirani, Director Land Management Farooq Bugti, and Director Finance Waqas Soomro. The agenda focused on reviewing the progress of ongoing development projects under the MDA and addressing challenges faced in specific initiatives.

During the session, Saeed Ghani was briefed in detail about the current status of MDA projects and the obstacles impeding their progress. He stressed the importance of overcoming these challenges to ensure that public interest projects are completed promptly. Ghani directed that a comprehensive report be prepared to identify and tackle any issues affecting the projects’ advancement.

Ghani placed particular emphasis on the urgent need to complete residential schemes that are critical to the public’s welfare. He reiterated the PPP government’s dedication to fulfilling its manifesto promises, which include ensuring that citizens have access to secure and affordable housing.

In his concluding remarks, Saeed Ghani reaffirmed the Sindh government’s commitment to the PPP manifesto, emphasizing that providing homes for the people remains a top priority. He highlighted the government’s resolve to support and advance projects that serve the public good and address housing needs.

The meeting reflects the Sindh government’s ongoing efforts to push forward with essential development projects and fulfill its promises to the people. By addressing the challenges and expediting the completion of key initiatives, the PPP administration aims to enhance public welfare and contribute to the overall development of the region.
