DADU: On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the Sindh Fankaar Welfare Organization (SAFWA) distributed ration to deserving, unemployed, and needy artists from Dadu and other districts of Sindh. The event saw participation from several well-known Sindhi actors and artists.
Leaders of SAFWA, including “,”Sindhi artist”], Manzoor Akash Solangihi artist”], Syed Ahmed Nisar Shah entity[“people”,”Fakir Ismail Chandio”,”Sindhi artist”], entity[“people”,”Shakeel Abro”,”Sindhi artist”], and Mansoor Chandio, said the initiative was inspired by the late actor and founding member of SAFWA, Syed Munawar Ali Shah, and represents their ongoing efforts to fulfil his vision.
They highlighted the financial struggles faced by artists, especially during months when no events or programs take place, and urged the Sindh Tourism and Culture Department to provide support during such periods. They expressed regret that the provincial government does not offer adequate assistance to artists.
The distribution event was also attended by Sajjad Yousuf Soomro”], Khalil Arif”,”Sindhi literary figure”], journalist Kamran Korai, and other cultural figures including Deedar Sheikh, Asad Korai, and Ahmed Ali Sheikh.
