MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Salman Khan has once again found himself at the center of an ominous threat, as the notorious Bishnoi gang issued a new warning aimed at both him and a songwriter associated with his work. The latest threat was reportedly delivered on November 7, just days after an earlier message on November 5 that warned of potential harm to the Bollywood superstar.
According to Indian media, the warning came via a call to Mumbai’s traffic police, which referenced a specific song that includes both Salman Khan’s and gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi’s names. The call, allegedly laced with direct threats, asserted that the song’s lyricist would “face severe consequences within a month” and would be “left unable to write again.” Additionally, the caller warned that anyone supporting the songwriter would also “pay a heavy price,” daring Salman Khan to protect the individual if possible.
Mumbai police have launched an investigation, with a case filed against an unknown individual at the Worli Police Station. Despite the investigation, detailed information regarding the new threat remains undisclosed. In a separate, earlier incident, Bandra police received a call demanding INR 5 million, threatening to kill actor Shah Rukh Khan if the amount was not paid. This call was traced back to a mobile phone belonging to Mohammad Faizan Khan, which had reportedly gone missing on November 2 and was allegedly used by an unknown individual to deliver the threat.
These threats have prompted increased security measures around prominent Bollywood figures, as authorities work to understand the motives and potential reach of the Bishnoi gang, raising alarm over the vulnerability of public figures to intimidation and harassment.
