SUKKUR: The Students Societies Center and the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) at Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) Khairpur recently organized a series of awareness seminars focusing on US Fulbright programs for students and faculty members. These seminars were conducted under the guidance of Honorable Vice Chancellor Meritorious Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Khushk.
The session, held on the university campus, was led by Prof. Dr. Javed Ahmed Ujan, a US Fulbright Alumni from the University of Florida (Batch 2022-23). The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and the National Anthem, followed by a warm welcome address from Dr. Ali Raza Lashari, In-charge of the Students Societies Center.
Prof. Dr. Javed delivered a comprehensive overview of the UGRAD Semester Exchange program, highlighting its numerous benefits for students in their 3rd and 4th semesters. He shared his own experiences with the program, offering valuable insights and encouraging students to apply.
The session included an interactive Q&A segment where Mr. Sarfaraz Ahmad Korejo, a US Fellow Alumni, shared his personal journey and experiences, further enlightening attendees about the Fulbright opportunities.
In her concluding remarks, Prof. Dr. Sameena Rajper, Director of ORIC, praised the resource person’s presentation and underscored the significance of such informative sessions in securing prestigious USAID scholarships. She acknowledged the efforts of the organizers and the enthusiastic participation of the students and faculty members. The seminars were well-attended, reflecting SALU’s strong commitment to providing its students with opportunities for international academic advancement and engagement.
