SHAHEED BENAZIRABAD: The National Polio Eradication Campaign in Shaheed Benazirabad District is set to begin tomorrow, February 2, and will continue until February 8, officials said on Monday.
The District Administration and Health Department have finalized all arrangements for the campaign, which aims to vaccinate more than 426,000 children under the age of five. A total of 1,314 teams—including mobile, transit, and fixed units—have been deployed across the district to ensure full coverage.
Commissioner Shahmir Khan Bhutto and Deputy Commissioner Abdul Samad Nizamani urged parents to cooperate with vaccination teams and ensure their children receive polio drops, describing it as a national responsibility. The authorities said the campaign would be closely monitored to achieve its target and contribute to Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to eradicate polio.
