SUKKUR: Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) in Khairpur, in collaboration with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sukkur, hosted a successful one-day seminar themed “Self-Accountability is the Best Accountability” at the Students Societies Center. The event, designed to promote integrity and accountability among students, also included a Declamation, Essay Writing, and Painting Competition, providing a platform for creative expression while fostering discussions on ethical values and character building.
The seminar was graced by the presence of Vice Chancellor, Meritorious Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Khushk, who commended the participants and reinforced the university’s commitment to nurturing a culture of self-discipline and ethical conduct. Dr. Khushk emphasized that self-accountability is crucial for both personal development and professional success, encouraging students to uphold these values in their academic and future careers. Fayaz Ahmed Qureshi, Director General of NAB Sukkur, delivered an inspiring keynote address, urging students to practice honesty and accountability in all areas of life.
Qureshi also drew a parallel to the historical significance of Moen-Jo-Daro, illustrating how the ancient civilization’s principles of accountability continue to resonate in today’s society. His address was a call to action for students to embody these timeless virtues. Guest of Honor, Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, further underscored the importance of integrity in building a just and responsible society. He praised the Character Building Society’s efforts to instill ethical principles and highlighted that individual character plays a pivotal role in shaping the collective well-being of society.
