ISTANBUL: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned that Turkey could take action against Israel if ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran fail.
Speaking at an event in Istanbul, Erdogan said that if Pakistan had not been mediating between the US and Iran, Turkey would have already “shown Israel its place”.
He added that Ankara could take steps similar to its past involvement in Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh, warning of possible action against Israel.
Erdogan further alleged that Israel had killed hundreds of innocent Lebanese civilians even on the day of the ceasefire, accusing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of being “blinded by blood and hatred”.
He said Turkey had both the capability and resolve, stressing that unity and strength would be required for any such move.
