SUKKUR: A tragic incident has unfolded in Tanwari Muhalla, Sheshum Colony, Khairpur, where the bullet-riddled body of a 15-year-old servant boy, Afzal Khaskheli, was discovered. The boy was identified as the son of Saddam Khaskheli.
The B-Section Police of Khairpur responded to the scene, transporting the body to the Civil Hospital Khairpur for an autopsy. According to reports, Afzal was employed as a servant at the residence of Akhtiar Bhangar, who is alleged to have fired the fatal shot while intoxicated.
Following the discovery, the victim’s parents staged a sit-in protest in front of the B-Section Police Station, demanding the arrest of the alleged killer and the registration of an FIR. The Station House Officer (SHO) assured the family that the accused was already in police custody and advised them to file their complaint formally.
The SHO of B-Section Police stated that an investigation is underway to unravel the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death. SSP Khairpur Dr. Samiullah Soomro has taken notice of the case and directed the SHO to expedite the arrest of the accused and ensure a thorough investigation. The body has since been transported to Gharhi Bridge Khairpur for burial.
