KARACHI: District West police issued strict instructions to the Shaheen Force to adopt a zero-tolerance approach towards street crime, organised criminal activity and drug dealing during a meeting held in Karachi on Friday.
The meeting took place at the District West police office on 2 January under the special directions of SSP District West Tariq Ilahi Mastoi, where the ASP Orangi Division met with Shaheen Force personnel. During the session, officers were briefed in detail on the ongoing strategy against street crime and the future course of action.
The ASP Orangi Division, acting on the instructions of senior officers, directed Shaheen Force personnel to strictly enforce the zero-tolerance policy against street crime, organised crime and, in particular, drug trafficking. He said no negligence, lapse or compromise would be tolerated in crime prevention efforts, adding that he would personally conduct a close and continuous review of the performance of all personnel.
He urged the Shaheen Force personnel to carry out their duties with honesty, commitment and courage, saying that such brave and dedicated officers were the true asset of the police department. He added that outstanding performance would be recognised through commendation certificates and cash rewards.
