LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars’ all-rounder Sikandar Raza has stressed the importance of unity and consistency as his team eyes a top finish in Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10. Addressing the media ahead of their high-stakes clash with Karachi Kings, Raza made it clear that the team is focused on staying among the top two on the points table to strengthen their path to the final.
“All our matches are crucial,” said Raza. “We want to secure the first or second position, which gives us two chances to qualify for the final. That’s the aim.”
The game against Karachi Kings, he noted, carries extra weight not only due to the fierce rivalry but also because of the Kings’ strong form this season. “They are a strong side, playing great cricket. We need to bring our best performance to beat them,” Raza said, recognising the competitive intensity that the match will bring.
Raza praised the positive energy in the Lahore Qalandars’ camp, describing the dressing room as simple and friendly, but declined to go into specifics. “We don’t discuss internal matters outside the dressing room. What’s important is the harmony we maintain as a team,” he said.
He underlined that individual milestones are not the team’s focus. “Personal achievements take a backseat. We’re all here to play our roles for the collective good of the team,” he added, showing his alignment with the franchise’s long-term culture of nurturing talent over chasing headlines.
Raza also addressed the points table pressure, calling it secondary to performance. “It doesn’t matter whether we’re first or fourth; what matters is how well we play. We are prepared for any challenge,” he said.
