KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah welcomed a delegation from the China-Africa & Asia Economic Trade Cooperation, along with representatives from Louyang Modern Biology, at the Chief Minister’s House on Tuesday. The meeting was described by officials as an important step towards strengthening economic and scientific collaboration between the province and international partners.

During the discussions, Chief Minister Shah emphasized Sindh’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment that could attract foreign investment while promoting local economic growth. He highlighted the province’s ongoing efforts to modernize its industrial and agricultural sectors, noting that partnerships with international firms could play a critical role in technology transfer and knowledge sharing.

Representatives of the visiting delegation outlined potential areas of collaboration, including biotechnology, healthcare innovation, and trade expansion. They expressed interest in exploring joint ventures that could benefit Sindh’s growing population while also contributing to regional development. Sources close to the talks indicated that both sides had discussed the possibility of setting up research and production facilities in the province, with a particular focus on sustainable practices and modern laboratory infrastructure.

Officials said that the meeting reflected Sindh’s broader strategy of engaging with international stakeholders to diversify its economic base, enhance scientific research capabilities, and create employment opportunities. The Chief Minister reportedly welcomed the delegation warmly, describing the discussions as “productive and forward-looking,” and stressed the importance of practical outcomes that could support the province’s long-term development goals.
