KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah hosted a farewell luncheon at the Chief Minister’s House to honor Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ghulam Nabi Memon and Provincial Secretaries Dr. Shireen Narejo and Dr. Mansoor, who are set to retire on 1 January.
The event was attended by provincial ministers including Ziaul Hasan Lanjhar and Syed Sardar Shah, Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Additional IGs, Principal Secretary Agha Wasif, Commissioner Karachi Hasan Naqvi, Chairman Planning & Development Najm Shah, Secretary Finance Fayyaz Jatoi, and other senior officials.
Ghulam Nabi Memon joined the police service in 1991 and served as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in seven districts of Sindh. He held the position of Additional IG Karachi twice and served as IGP of Sindh on two occasions. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah praised IGP Memon’s dedication and highlighted his significant efforts in tackling street crime and combating dacoits in rural areas.
The Chief Minister also commended the contributions of Dr. Shireen Narejo and Dr. Mansoor, noting their exemplary service in various departments of the Sindh government. Dr. Shireen Narejo has served as Chairperson of the Provincial Nutrition Department and currently chairs the Chief Minister Inspection Team. Both officials were recognized for their leadership and commitment to governance, leaving a lasting impact on the provincial administration.
