KARACHI: Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Turkiye for its unwavering support to Pakistan during the recent military standoff with India. Speaking as the chief guest at the annual Turkish Traditional Breakfast held at the official residence of the Turkish Consul General, the chief minister underscored the strong diplomatic and cultural bonds linking the two nations.

The event brought together senior civil and military officials, including Corps Commander Karachi Lt General Muhammad Owais Dastgir, Rear Admirals Abdul Munib and Salman Ilyas, Additional Inspector General Javed Alam Odho, DIG Maqsood Memon, and Muhammad Atif Hanif, CEO of Al Baraka Bank. The gathering also featured prominent personalities from various sectors such as actor Javed Sheikh, Sohail Tabba, and representatives from the Pak-Turk Maarif school network.

A significant presence of Turkish nationals and members of Turkiye’s diplomatic and cultural community added to the event’s celebratory spirit. Notable attendees included Gulsen Sangu, Zekiye Duru Sangu, Timurhan Abay Sangu, Busra Akpolat, Sertan Yuccer, Adem Abdullah Gunes, Muhammet Karatas, Murat Ozmen, Ahmet Murat Sekeralmaz, Nazan Bulun, Gulseven Goktas, and Cem Malyemez.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah warmly praised the cultural significance of the event, remarking, “This annual breakfast has introduced millions, including myself, to the rich and delightful flavors of Turkish cuisine. It reflects a deeper bond between our nations.” Consul General of the Republic of Turkiye, Cemal Sangu, who hosted the event, described the breakfast as much more than a shared meal. “We gather here not just for breakfast, but for a tapestry of flavors—a testament to the warmth and generosity that defines the spirit of our two nations,” he said.
